KVAA Presents Artist & Artisan Fair at Marketplace at Augusta

The Kennebec Valley Art Association in partnership with The Marketplace at Augusta present the second annual Artist & Artisan Fair, a weekend of fine arts, crafts and more on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 10am – 4pm each day. Maine creatives are showcased in a larger space this year at 17 Marketplace Drive in Augusta, neighboring Regal Cinemas and Michael’s.

Support local artists this spring and mark your calendars for this two-day event, featuring a over 20 artists representing a wide range of locally made fine art and craft. Visitors can shop from a diverse selection of handcrafted items including paintings, ceramics, mixed media assemblage, glass works, graphic art, stone works, fiber and textile art, personal care, photography, and more.

Participating vendors include:

  • Lynn Rollins – Golden Girl Glass. Fused glass pendants, earrings, bolos, barrettes and beaded bracelets.
  • Ellen Rhinehart – BeAditudes4U. Hand crafted jewelry
  • Sara Lozefski – Tooth Fairy Handmade. BPA-free silicone teething necklaces (for moms to wear and babies to chew on), jewelry made from scraps of textiles (woven wraps intended for babywearing), charm bottles, and small pieces of art made from scraps of woven baby wraps.
  • Alaina Pethick – White Birch Hill Soap Co. Vegan soaps with natural ingredients.
  • Norma McDonough – Avalon Handbags. Hand knit custom designed felted wool bags
  • Karen Allen – Allen & Allen Photo & Craft. Nature photos and note cards; nature mandala prints, wraps, cards, and crafts (bags, trinket boxes, small cushions, quilt hangings, ornaments)
  • Peggi Loveless – LeafLady Quilts. Quilted table runners, placemats, mugmats and trivets. Lap quilts, wall quilts, quilted bags, pieced pins and ornaments
  • Penny Markley – Penny Markley Art. Oil paintings, mostly landscapes
  • Judi Bira – People Pebbles. Personalized artwork with native rocks and materials in a variety of sizes
  • Michelle McCutcheon – Shadow Raven’s Gallery. Pine needle and/or reed baskets, gourd art/bowls, limited bone and shell jewelry
  • Catherine Worthington – Earth Tones and Fish Bones. Textile Art Hand painted silkscreened and stitched items including art quits, pillows, zippy bags, belts and cards
  • Matt Stapleton – Chasing Light Fine Art Photography. Fine Art Photography depicting the natural beauty of Maine and beyond, displayed as traditional photographic prints, as well as prints on metal and canvas.
  • Sherry Cennamo – Sparkle Plenty. Jewelry artisan working with gemstones and leather. Also, one­-of­-a-­kind Garden Art using vintage and repurposed glass and dinnerware.
  • Nathan Allard – Nathan Allard Art. Polaroid photography, hand made frames, and two prints of paintings.
  • Katherine Kollman – Out of My Head. Baby gifts, cosmetic bags, towel sets, and doll accessories
  • Anita Whitney – Pond Dog Crafts. Wood burned signs, ornaments, coasters and more as well as other gift items like our “Calming Coins”.
  • Regina Kusche – AKOSUA by Regina Kusche. Jewelry, clothing, blankets, banners, scarves.
  • Ryan Kohler – Ryan Kohler Art. Medium to large-scale original acrylic paintings.
  • Kara Getchell – karaskarstickers. 5″ vinyl decals displaying the Maine State Flag in different images
  • Aleana Chaplin – Aleana Chaplin Art. Assemblage and mini paintings.
  • Diane Seiders – Fantasy Glass Designs. Blown and fused Glass
  • Sheryl Black – Seaglass Creations. Sea glass house wares and jewelry
  • Rebecca Hillman – Rebecca Hillman Pottery. Animal sculptures to functional one of a kind serving platters, cups and bowls many with designs drawn from nature and living by the ocean.
  • Jenny Kingsbury – S’mittens. Mittens of all sizes, hats and headwraps made from 70% or greater upcycled felted wool. Each item has a fleece lining. All pieces are unique and one of a kind.
