IRONMAN 70.3 MAINE is back July 25-27, 2025!
We are so excited to be welcoming IRONMAN 70.3 back to Augusta for its 4th year! This ultra-endurance triathlon brings thousands of athletes and spectators from around the world to Augusta, Maine for one weekend each summer to swim the Kennebec River, bike through the hills of Kennebec Valley, and run the trails and streets of Central Maine. We hope you join us as an athlete, spectator, or volunteer for this unforgettable weekend!

IRONMAN 70.3 WELCOME PARTY Join us as we celebrate the arrival of athletes and spectators! The KV Chamber partners with IRONMAN to throw the athletes and volunteers a welcome party on Front Street in Augusta. There is live music, food, drinks, and a special fireworks show on the Kennebec River. It truly is a fun summer block party! This event takes place July 25 from 7:00–9:30PM. IRONMAN 70.3 ME attracts over 2,400 athletes, 3,000 spectators, and over 900 volunteers. Engage with both visitors and the local community through attending as a volunteer of IRONMAN or by joining us as a welcome party sponsor! Sponsors will have the opportunity to set up a table or tent at the event, connecting directly with participants and volunteers — many of whom return to compete year after year. Athletes and volunteers often stay in the area for a week, looking for local places to eat, shop and things to do. Don't miss the opportunity to introduce your business to a new audience! IRONMAN 70.3 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES IRONMAN 70.3 ME would not be possible without the amazing support of the community. With a wide range of available roles, we need 900 VOLUNTEERS to ensure the event runs smoothly. From aid stations to kayak support to security, there is a role for any individual or group! The Ironman Foundation provides grants to nonprofit or school groups/sports teams who commit designated levels of volunteers.
