Maine's Capital Area

The Maine Alliance for Addiction Recovery (MAAR) in collaboration with GROUPS: Recover Together will be hosting an event on September 15th in Augusta as part of the National Recovery Month, to celebrate recovery and encourage individuals with a mental or substance use disorder to seek treatment and achieve a healthy, happy life. Mental and substance use disorders can affect anyone. Our community must remain vigilant and dedicated to the recovery process by helping people address these preventable and treatable conditions, and support individuals in recovery, as well as their family members.

This is a family event which will feature food, live music, radio broadcasts, ticket giveaways, children's games, vendor tables, stories of recovery, face painting, balloon animal, and much more. 

The event is free to the public and would not be possible without the generosity of local businesses, organizations, and individuals.

Proceeds will go directly to funding the event and Waterville PD's Operation HOPE program.
