A body of work by Matt Demers exploring and interpreting the composition of wasp and hornet nests in his personal style of decisive brushstrokes, collage, and abstract mark making. "I've always been drawn to the forms, textures, patterns, and energy of these natural sculptural objects. I wanted to amplify those elements that I love to create my own unique objects while remaining true to their original forms." The show will run from January 25th to April 7th.
Matt Demers is a visual artist working out of his studio in Gardiner, Maine.
An opening reception will be held January 25th from 4:30-6:30 pm. Refreshments will be provided. The reception is free and open to the public.
