SECOND SUNDAYS are community art-related events on the second Sunday of every month from 2-4PM at the Harlow Gallery. These events are free and open to the public. Some materials are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own as well. SECOND SUNDAYS may have limited enrollment depending on the event. To save your spot, please call the gallery at 207-622-3813 by 6pm on Saturday preceding the SECOND SUNDAY event.
SECOND SUNDAYS are opportunities to both try something new and sharpen old skills - they are open to everyone; beginners and masters alike. SECOND SUNDAYS brings artists and art lovers together to enjoy the process of making art as well as looking at art and discussing it. Most events are perfect for families, and all are welcome. Children under 10 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
To kick off the 2018 lineup of SECOND SUNDAYS, Rachel Hamlin will be leading Personal Identity Ceramic Sculpture on Sunday, January 14 from 2-4pm. Come work with artist Rachel Hamlin and use a variety of ceramic hand-building techniques to create a sculpture that symbolically or realistically represents your personal identity. Clay and firing will be provided by Hallowell Clay Works. Open to all ages and experience levels. Limited to 12 participants.
The Harlow Gallery’s Education Committee organizes and hosts SECOND SUNDAYS, our monthly series of free community art-making events which is led by volunteer presenters and sponsored by Camden National Bank.
