Now in its 21st year, this annual conference attracts people from across Maine
and the region interested in seeking solutions to complex sustainability and
water resource issues important to the state. Information on the conference is
available from the conference website, which is updated regularly. You can also contact Ruth Hallsworth ( or 207/581-3196) with any questions.

We are pleased to announce that Carol Collier, senior advisor for watershed management and policy at Drexel University’s Academy of Natural Sciences will be our keynote speaker. "Bridging the Gap between Science and Policy: Lessons Learned from the Delaware River Watershed" is the title of
Carol's keynote talk. Prior to her position at Drexel, Carol was executive director of the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) for more than 15 years.

Before joining DRBC, she was executive director of Pennsylvania’s 21st Century Environment Commission and regional director of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) Southeast Region. Prior to PADEP, Carol served 19 years with BCM Environmental Engineers, Inc., beginning as a student intern and ultimately becoming vice president of environmental planning, science and risk.
