Maine's Capital Area

Nineteen of Maine’s finest cheesemakers gather at Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery in Union Maine to share their Maine-made products and celebrate local, scrumptious cheese. The event will offer cheese tasting opportunities, a chance to talk cheese and dairy directly with the makers, and access to Savage Oakes Winery tasting room. Cheese and wine will be offered for sale in Savage Oakes gorgeous hillside setting. Musical entertainment and demonstrations are planned. The Festival is rain or shine.

The Maine Cheese Festival is a fundraiser organized by the Maine Cheese Guild which has a mission to “...support and encourage the Maine's cheesemaking community through development of a collective voice to promote Maine cheese and cheesemakers, educate cheese makers and consumers, coordinate resources and share the joy and art of regional cheeses.”
