The Healthy People of the Kennebec invites you to a special forum for employers to learn about the most recent Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). This is a unique opportunity for employers to gain a better understanding of the health of our community & to provide input on how to better address the health needs of their workforce.

Maine employers face many challenges in workforce productivity, development and retention:

     * An aging workforce
     * Numerous chronic health conditions that significantly impact the cost and productivity
     * Employee engagement
     * The costs of turnover

As an employer you are an important stakeholder. The Healthy People of the Kennebec encourages you to attend this forum to hear about the data and participate in facilitated discussion around this timely topic.

Help turn data into action to create the healthiest state in the U.S.!

About the Community Health Needs Assessment

The Maine Shared Health Needs Assessment and Planning Process (SHNAPP) Project is a collaborative effort among Maine's four largest healthcare systems - along with the Maine Center for
Disease Control and Prevention, an office of the Maine Department of Health and
Human Services. The collaborative assessment and planning effort will
ultimately lead to the implementation of comprehensive strategies for community
health improvement throughout the State.

The overall goal of the Maine SHNAPP is to "turn data into action" by conducting a shared community health improvement planning process for stakeholders across the state. Learn more
about the Maine SHNAPP Project here.

Please contact me if you have questions or would like more information about the Community
Health Needs Assessment or about the Healthy People of the Kennebec Valley.

I hope you will be able to join us for this important work!
