Scout Day at the State House

This event is open to all youth and adult members of Pine Tree and Katahdin Area Councils and the Girl Scouts of Maine.
The Legislature would like to honor the Scouts and Leaders for their service to the State of Maine.
Packs, Troops and Crews can set up tours of the State House, Blaine House and State Museum between 10 AM and 1 PM either by reserving it through the State Museum 207-287-2301 or going on a self-guided tour of the State House.
At 1 PM, Scouts are invited to display their Eagle Scout project notebook, Order of the Arrow, Camp Hinds, Camp Bomazeen, Camp Roosevelt, High Adventure Base, etc on tables in the Hall of Flags. Refreshments will be provided by the State of Maine but Scout popcorm would be welcome.
The display will be from 1:30 to 4 PM in the Hall of Flags.
At 2 PM, the elected leaders of the State of Maine will gather to honor Scouting with presentation of a legislative sentiment and to recognize the 2015 Class of Eagle Scouts and Gold and Silver Award recipients and to honor the oldest Eagle and Gold Award recipients in Maine who can attend. They also want to say thanks to all those who volunteer for these great programs.

At 9: 30 AM, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and Venturers and Explorers will have the opportunity to serve as Pages for the State House of Representatives, perform the opening flag ceremony, lead the Pledge of Allegiance, provide a prayer. The Girl Scouts will be providing the same service for the Maine State Senate at that time.
