Hall-Dale High School’s REM Delta Prime Robotics Team invites the public to their first annual open house on Saturday, April 2nd from 2-4pm at their build space in the Ballard Center, located at 6 Chestnut Street, Augusta. Enter through the Arsenal Street basement entrance. The team will be offering tours of the build site, demonstrating their robots and explaining STEM and FIRST Robotics to their guests.

Hall-Dale’s team, REM Delta Prime Robotics #4473 is a member of FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), an international high school robotics competition that gives students real-world engineering experience. FRC combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to "real-world engineering" as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. The team had six weeks to build a robot for this year’s challenge, FIRST Stronghold.
