Join the nonprofit Maine Technology Users Group online Wed. Feb 26, 2020, at 11am, for a big picture discussion of Maine’s economy, demographics and how it impacts our unique challenge for meeting the tech-skilled workforce needs of all Maine businesses.

Amanda Rector, Maine State Economist, will present an overview of Maine’s current economic and demographic conditions, and the outlook for population, employment, with an eye toward factors affecting tech workforce.

Jeremy Qualls, Dean of the College of Science, Technology, and Health at the University of Southern Maine, will provide an assessment of trends in STEM education, and USM-based and regional initiatives aimed at meeting Maine's technical workforce needs.

This session's speakers and topics were arranged by volunteer MTUG Board Members Uli Stewart, Ron Brown, and Tonia Ennis.
